“This year’s design weaves together 11 vibrant colors to celebrate the diversity and resilience of LGBTQ+ communities worldwide,” said an Apple spokesperson. The band is priced at $49 in the U.S. and comes in 40mm, 42mm, and 46mm sizes.

The watch face and wallpaper require watchOS 26.5, iOS 26.5, and iPadOS 26.5, currently in beta with a public release expected this month. Users can customize the colors in both the radial and vertical patterns.

Background

Since 2016, Apple has released annual Pride-themed products and donations to LGBTQ+ advocacy groups. The 2026 collection continues this tradition with a focus on inclusive design and visibility during Pride Month and beyond.

The Sport Loop is woven from 11 dyed nylon yarns, creating a seamless color gradient. “The intricate weaving blends one color into the next, offering depth and movement across the band,” Apple noted in a press release.

Expert Reaction

“Apple’s ongoing commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusion is commendable, especially through tangible products and financial support,” said Dr. Maria Santos, a tech industry analyst at Digital Trends Group. “The new band and watch face serve as daily reminders of pride and progress.”

LGBTQ+ advocacy groups praised the donation component. “Every purchase not only shows solidarity but also funds critical services,” said a representative from the Human Rights Campaign, which has received Apple support in prior years.

What This Means

For consumers, the collection offers an accessible way to celebrate Pride through everyday tech accessories. The customization options on the watch face and wallpaper allow personal expression beyond the standard rainbow motif.

Industry observers note that Apple’s Pride initiatives help reinforce its brand image among younger, socially conscious buyers. Meanwhile, the early beta release of the accompanying software updates suggests the company aims to maximize buzz during Pride Month.

The band is available now on Apple.com and the Apple Store app. In-store availability begins later this week. For more details, see our background section or the official Apple announcement.
